June Walk - Bampton
Date: Saturday, 21st June, 2014
Meet: car park in Market Square, Bampton
Parking: 4 hours only in car park so use side streets if planning to stay for lunch after the walk
Time: 10.30 start
Length: almost 7 miles but very flat
Route: south from Bampton to Thames, along The Thame Path, back to Bampton
Boots and Trousers: advisable
Dogs: must be well behaved and on a lead near farm animals
Lunch: about 1.30pm at The Romany Inn, Bampton

Route: on paths towards Nuffield, The Ridgeway, through woods back to Hailey

Lunch: about 12.30pm at the King William IV

Next Walk - 26th April 2014
The April walk has been changed from Hailey near Wallingford to Islip near Oxford. We'll be doing the walk that had to be cancelled in December because of flooding. The route has been walked this week and apart from a boogy bridleway it's fine.

Parking: at the pub and more at the village hall
Time: 10.15am to start at 10.30am
Length: about 5.5 miles, only 2 stiles
Route: S. to Woodeaton along River Cherwell, N.E. to Noke, back to Islip
Boots: recommended
Dogs: well behaved welcome
Lunch: at The Red Lion about 1.30pm

We're started making plans to start the April walk from The King William IV pub in Hailey, south of Wallingford. The route will be checked and arrangements with the pub will be made in the next week. So watch this space!
