Route: via Kings Sutton
Terrain: undulating
Boots: advisable muddy recently ploughed fields
Dogs: well behaved welcome but on leads if near livestock
Lunch: about 1.30pm Rose and Crown, Charlton
Charity collection: Changing Faces a UK charity supporting and representing children, young people and adults who have disfigurements to the face, hands or body.

Meet: The Fox, Denchworth, OX12 0DX
Time: 10.15 for 10.30 start
Length: about 5 miles
Route: circular towards East and West Hanney
Terrain: several sticky boot clagging muddy fields and one low stile.
Boots: anything other than walking boots could making walking very difficult and even get left behind in the mud!
Dogs: well behaved welcome but on leads if near livestock
Lunch: about 1pm at The Fox

September - Bledlow

Meet: Lions of Beldlow car park

Length: about 5 miles
Route: circular route up a lengthy incline to the Ridgeway path, along the Ridgeway, good viewpoints before an extreme drop down to a path alongside the Princes Risborough Chinnor Steam Railway.
Terrain: rough my be muddy
Boots: advisable
Dogs: well behaved welcome but on leads if near livestock
Lunch: about 1.30pm Lions of Bledlow
Charity collection: Open Doors - In the UK and Ireland works to raise awareness of global persecution, mobilising prayer, support and action among Christians.

August - Cothill near Abingdon

Date: Saturday 26th August 2017
Meet: The Merry Miller, Cothill near Abingdon
Time: 10.15 for 10.30am
Length: about 5 miles

Route: Circular route exploring the Cothill Fen (largest area of alkaline fen in central England) visiting BBOWT’s Dry Sandford Pit, Parsonage Moor and Hitchcopse Pit Reserve.

Terrain: quite flat, a couple of high but sturdy stiles and one a bit rickety.

Boots: advisable, some muddy bits

Dogs: on leads in Dry Sandford Pit and Hitchcopse Pit Reserves.

Dogs: NOT ALLOWED in Parsonage Moor (dog owners could wait outside for the 15 to 20 mins while the rest go in.  Or arrange to do a swap with someone)

Lunch: 1.30pm at The Merry Miller

Meet: Russell’s Water Common near the footpath going South at the bend in the road near Maidensgrove, SE of The 5 Horseshoes, about 400m passed Oak Farm.  Look out for the BBC Oxford flag banner

Length: about 5 miles

March - Northmoor, near Witney

Date: Saturday 25th March 2017
Meet: Car Park of The Red Lion, 1, Church Road, Northmoor.  OX29 5SX
Time: 10.15 for 10.30 start
Length: about 6 miles
Terrain: fairly flat
Route: circular, including Northmoor and Stanton Harcourt taking in 'The Devils Quoits' -Oxfordshire's answer to Stonehenge
Boots: advisable, trainers or light shoes can make walking difficult in muddy conditions
Dogs: well behaved on a lead
Snack: out for about 3 hours, bring water and, if you need it, a snack.
Waterproofs: be prepared for wet weather with waterproofs or at least a showerproof jacket.
Lunch: about 1.30 pm at The Red Lion
Charity collection: £1 for Volunteering Matters’ Retired and Senior Volunteering Programme.  Set up in 1988 specifically to harness the energy and experience of older people and prevent them from becoming excluded or isolated when their working life ended.

January - Oxord City not Headington

It wasn't possible to make arrangements for the walk to start in Headington as previously advertised.

Meet: outside Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford
Time: 10.15 for 10.30 start
Length: about 5 miles
Route: city centre landmarks -The Radcliffe Camera, various colleges, Christ Church Meadow, Botanic Gardens and Magdalen Bridge. Then steady climb in South Park for a view of the 'dreaming spires', Brookes University campus, Cuckoo Lane, Headington Hill Park, new Oxford Centre of Islamic Studies, Mesopotamia Walk, University Parks back to Broad Street.
Boots: muddy in places so boots advisable
Dogs: well behaved on a lead
Lunch: arrange your own lunch this month
