February - Whitchurch Hill

Meet: Car Park of The Sun Inn, Hill Bottom, Whitchurch Hill RG8 7PU
Time: 10.15 for 10.30 start
Length: just under 6 miles
Route: circular via Mapledurham with views over Thames Valley and possibility of viewing extraordinary stables
Boots: advisable
Dogs: well behaved welcome on a lead when necessary

January - Oxord City not Headington
It wasn't possible to make arrangements for the walk to start in Headington as previously advertised.
Date: Saturday January 28th 2017
Meet: outside Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford
Time: 10.15 for 10.30 start
Length: about 5 miles
Route: city centre landmarks -The Radcliffe Camera, various colleges, Christ Church Meadow, Botanic Gardens and Magdalen Bridge. Then steady climb in South Park for a view of the 'dreaming spires', Brookes University campus, Cuckoo Lane, Headington Hill Park, new Oxford Centre of Islamic Studies, Mesopotamia Walk, University Parks back to Broad Street.
Boots: muddy in places so boots advisable
Dogs: well behaved on a lead
Lunch: arrange your own lunch this month
Charity Collection: Volunteers Matters’ Retired and Senior Volunteering Programme (RSVP). RSVP was set up in 1988 specifically to harness the energy and experience of older people and prevent them from becoming excluded or isolated when their working life ended

October - Combe near Woodstock

Meet: car park of Cock Inn Combe
Time: 10.15 for 10.30 start
Length: just over 5½ miles
Route: footpaths through Blenheim, Wychwood/Oxfordshire Way to S of Stonesfield, cross river Evenlode and railway near East End Roman Villa
Boots: advisable
Dogs: well behaved welcome, on a lead through Blenheim and other fields with animals
Lunch: at The Cock Inn about 1.30pm
